Brief Description:

Variable Speed Mooney Viscometer VSMV 100B made by Norka is an innovative type of Mooney tester, based on traditional Mooney viscosity testing technology in compliance with ASTM D1646, and specially designed for research and development of raw materials and compounds with its utilizable function of rotor speed variation (0.1 to 30.0rpm) to test process-ability of raw materials and compounds under different shear rate, which can much exactly reflect or correlate real production situations. Adopting the latest temperature control systems, advanced temperature probe, precise torque transducer as well as strict quality control in manufacturing, VSMV 100B makes it possible for users to get the testing results, such as Mooney Viscosity, Scorch Time, Stress Relaxation with excellent repeatability, reproducibility and sensitivity on top of the world. Assorted with friendly graphical interfaces, powerful data processing capacity, and strong network function, it greatly improves users' testing capability, facility and efficiency.

Different rotor speed causing to different Mooney Unit (MU) meanse that raw materials or compounds have different processability at different shearing rates:

Mooney Unit (MU) at an ultra-low rotor speed (0.1rpm) is correlated to P0 under plastimeter test, but under the common test conditions(2rpm), no such correlation results can be reached:

Scorch Time shall be significantly shortened at a high shear rate (high rotor speed), which can calculate under real production and processing conditions:

Stress Relaxation Test is additional to Mooney Viscosity Test for collecting the relaxation behavior of raw materials or compouns, 
which can further reflect its processability, especially for same MU but different processability:
